How Payroll Outsourcing Impacts A Business
Payroll outsourcing is the practice of hiring an external vendor to manage and oversee all of a company‘s payroll needs. It includes taking responsibility for the entire payroll process, such as calculating and paying wages and salaries, calculating and remitting withholding taxes, and keeping payroll records.
The company pays the outsourced payroll provider a fixed fee per payroll cycle, plus additional fees for non–standard requests and services. It also eliminates the need for in–house HR staff, reducing staffing costs. Disadvantages of payroll outsourcing include a lack of control over the accuracy of payroll information and potential concerns over sensitive payroll information falling into the wrong hands.
