Offshore employees are being requested to participate in the ‘National Remote Working in Ireland’ survey, which is held every year.

Researchers from NUI Galway’s Whitaker Institute and the Western Development Commission will conduct the research.

The research will gather information on remote staffing experiences and preferences, as well as how remote working affects their career choices. The study will provide insights into how remote staffing has affected employees’ work and job situations, building on two prior yearly nationwide surveys conducted by the team.

Heather Humphreys, Minister for Rural and Community Development, is encouraging workers to participate in the poll.

” In the last few years, so much amazing work was done to assist remote staffing and organizations. It’s critical that we maintain our current speed.” she explained.

” This poll will ensure that we have the relevant data we need to determine the right plan of action in this important situation,” she continued.

Over 12,000 employees who work remotely across the country responded to the annual surveys in 2020 and 2021.

Professor Alma McCarthy of NUI Galway remarked, “The findings have influenced policy, especially the national remote staffing and working plan.”

” Since the Covid-19 epidemic, typical work has changed dramatically. Collecting two years’ worth of patterns, interests, and job decision impacts is crucial,” she continued.
